the foundation of all training

ballet

  • In CADA ballet classes, students will be instructed on the foundations that prepare them for any style or challenge in dance. Our ballet trains proper body placement, balance, flexibility, alignment, and technique achieved both through barre and floor work. Ballet is the most foundational element in our studio’s training. As students advance they will eventually be able to take Ballet classes en pointe.
  • Taught multiple times each week depending on the the level, ballet placement is primarily by skill level, not age.

technique for jazz turns, leaps, jumps, kicks

jazz

  • Jazz is an exciting and fun dance genre that develops strength, flexibility, confidence, power and articulation in dancers. Developing these skills in class directly correlates to stronger routines on stage and lays another level of training foundation that transfers to various other styles of dance.
  • Turns & Leaps specific classes focus on turns, leaps, jumps and kicks across the floor. Separate emphasis in just turning and leaps will complement the movements and choreography taught in jazz class.
  • Jazz progressions focuses on the mastery of advanced jazz stylized combinations consisting of leaps, turns, and footwork.
  • To excel in jazz, dancers need a strong background and concurrent training in ballet as it encourages grace, balance, and muscle control.
  • Jazz class dancers are placed in an appropriate level by skill, not age. Dancers under the age of 8 should enroll in the Pre-Ballet/Jazz Combination class before enrolling in Jazz.

safe & effective limbering and tumbling

ACRO/
TUMBLING

  • Give your dancer an essential running start in their future dance or tumbling progress with our safe & effective Acro/Tumbling program. Learning to comfortably be upside-down at a young age is paramount to continued progress in the sport of dance, especially if dancers progress into a competitive program. Increase in confidence and self-esteem while building muscle strength, gaining flexibility and mobility,  improving overall coordination, and conquering "tricks" through consistent, dedicated work. Acro/Tumbling students will learn intricate tricks, balancing and contortion, and learn how to execute skills with grace and control.
  • Tumbling classes focus on the limbering and tumbling elements often used in dance.
  • Our Acro Dance Tricks program builds upon those tumbling elements and applies them artistically and uniquely to dance repertoire.

mental development program

Our Mental Development program emphasizes growth mindset in the classroom and out. Developing a healthy relationship with challenge and work, our dancers are taught that their best efforts are rewarded over their intrinsic abilities.

Praise for hard work over performance creates the greatest progress in any sport. As we look out for our young dancers through our motto of Advancing the Art and the Artist™, we know that a healthy relationship with challenge, defeat, success, failure, comparison, and self will reward this generation for their entire lives.

Our mental development curriculum is specifically taught to our company dancers in the competitive environment while also integrated across all class offerings through teacher trainings, how we praise your children, and visuals throughout our space.

combos + improv

movement

Be audition ready! CADA’s movement combination classes focus on exploration of style and development in various styles of dance which include Jazz, Contemporary/Modern, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Jazz Funk, Musical Theater, Ballroom, Improv, and other styles. for dancers

conditioning & flexibility

Our Flexibility & Conditioning classes include mUvmethod, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), Pilates for Dancers, rhythmic gymnastics flexibility techniques, and progressive stability training. Flexibility and Strength are integral to dance training progress and safety.

*CADA is a mUvmethod and PBT certified studio*

mUvmethod is a safe flexibility curriculum combining yoga and pilates and backed by scientifically proven methods to unlock a dancer's potential through these skills

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program that has been designed to enhance students' technique by focussing on training the muscle memory required in each exercise in all forms of dance. It uses ballet-technique specific exercises to train skill acquisition from junior through to advanced levels. The program helps with injury prevention and rehabilitation and enhances the ability of athletes to perform at their best. PBT focuses on core strength, weight placement and alignment of the body with a gradual approach of carefully designed exercises and repetitions of these exercises that trigger their muscle memory.
